We provide high-quality childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years, offering a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Our setting is divided into three age-appropriate rooms to support each stage of development:
• Baby Room (3 months to 2 years) – A nurturing space focused on sensory play and bonding.
• Toddler Room (2 to 3 years) – Encouraging independence, early communication, and exploration.
• Pre-School Room (3 to 5 years) – Preparing children for school with a focus on early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Our nursery is open Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 6:00pm, offering flexible childcare to support working families. We provide freshly cooked, nutritious meals prepared on-site daily. Parents are also welcome to send a packed lunch if they prefer. Our experienced and qualified team is committed to delivering a high standard of care and early education, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. We ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child is valued, respected, and supported to reach their full potential.

Our Services

- A highly qualified and professional team with a range of experience across the childcare sector. Staff trained in supporting speech and language development and all children with special educational needs.
- A quality key person approach, where key people build strong relationships with children, parents and families right from registration through to the transition to school
- A complete updated learning journey via the 'Famly' app so that parents are able to access and see what their child have been doing each day. Parents can also add their own observations for their child
- Purpose built facilities featuring free-flow play throughout the session. All Childcare vouchers accepted.
- Excellent links within the local community. Regular workshops and stay and play sessions for parents and families.
- Termly parent consultations. Exciting, dynamic indoor and outdoor learning environments. 2, 3 and 4 year old government grant funding accepted.

The Nursery schedules do vary slightly but are very similar. Here is our routine for Huthwaite:
- 7:30: Nursery opens
- 07:30 - 08:15: Breakfast
- 08:15 - 08:30: Free Choice
- 08:30 - 09:15: Outside
- 09:15 - 09:45: Free Choice
- 09:45 - 10:15: Snack. Option of fruit and Savory sack with milk/water offered.
- 10:30 - 11:00: Nappies / Free Choice
- 11:00 - 11:15: Song Time
- 11:15 - 11:25: Story time / get ready for dinner
- 11:30 - 12:00: Dinner
- 12:00 - 14:30: Sleep / Quiet time.Nappies done and snack given as children wake up.
- 14:30 - 15:00: Free Choice
- 15:00 - 16:00: Outside
- 16:00 - 16:30: Tea Time
- 16:30 - 17:30: Free Choice / Nappies
- 17:30 - 17:45: Snack
- 17:45 - 18:00: Story / End of day calm down time
- 18:00: Nursery Closes

Flexible Funded Hours
We offer flexible funded hours between the hours of 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday. Funded hours can be a maximum of 10 hours per day. We offer stretched and term time funding dependant on parent preference.
For example, if a child is entitled to 15 hours funding per week, they can use the full 15 hours during the term time, or they can attend for 11 hours per week, all year round on a funded basis.
Example funding patterns:
8:30am-11:30 = 3 hours funding
9:00am-1:00pm = 4 hours funding
7:30am-6:00pm = 10 hours funding
8:00am-6:00pm = 10 hours funding
Pricelist for paid sessions
We are only able to offer a maximum of 10 hours of funding per day.
For private paid sessions, the cost of hot meals is included. If your child is attending funded sessions, hot meals are optional and charged as an additional cost. Parents are welcome to provide a packed lunch instead.
Please indicate on your Application Form whether you would like to opt in or out of hot meals during your funded sessions.

Extra Costs
We do not charge for consumables such as nappies or baby wipes and parents are asked to supply these.
We do offer a charge for suncream. Once a year, we send a letter to parents regarding suncream. Parents can choose to pay £2.00 for suncream for the year, or they may provide their own.
Trips/Events
At Busy Bunnies Nurseries, we occasionally participate in trips and special events. Whenever possible, we aim to keep costs low for parents. On some occasions, we may ask parents to contribute to the cost of a trip; however, participation is always optional. The Nursery will remain open during all trips and events, so children whose parents choose not to participate can still attend as normal.
Nutritional Info
At Busy Bunnies Nurseries healthy living is something that is very important to us. We will always provide children with varied, healthy snacks throughout the day and we change our snack menu termly to ensure that children are provided with a wide range of foods. Two of our Notingham settings have healthy cooked lunches provided. We ask our parents who provide a packed lunch for their child to ensure that the food in the children’s lunch boxes are healthy and nutritious. We do provide some healthy lunch ideas to those who may be struggling with ideas for their child’s lunch.
Famly
We are pleased to introduce Famly, a secure and user-friendly nursery management platform designed to enhance communication between our setting and families. Accessible via web browser or as a free app on iOS and Android devices, Famly keeps you connected with your child’s daily experiences. Through the app, you can view real-time updates on activities, meals, naps, and more. It also provides access to your child’s learning journey, allowing you to view observations and contribute your own. Additionally, Famly facilitates direct messaging with nursery staff, easy reporting of absences, and access to important documents such as newsletters and invoices. For families who speak English as an additional language, the app offers translation features to ensure clear and inclusive communication .
